Why is Simon Willard mentioned so much?

This article mentions one early manufacturer of mantel clocks a lot: Simon Willard. It mentions him in every paragraph. As far as I know, Simon Willard was only one of many clockmakers in 17th century America and Europe who made mantel clocks. Unless someone adds some sourced reason why Willard should be so notable, I am going to delete most of these peacock references. --ChetvornoTALK 05:15, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
