Predation
[edit]This is a poorly written Wiki all around but the one thing that is just written with complete bias or ignorance is the Predation section. Stating Manatee dive as deep as they possibly can is indicitive of eevolution due to a mainly human threat is completely unproven, not researched and very doubtful. I personally have witnessed sharks harassing the crap out of Manatee in the marinas in Key West. The locals told me they don't kill them in the marina but that it is common knowledge the sharks will kill Manatee in harbors, and along the coast. The guide on our fishing trip had several videos of his crew throwing out chum to distract sharks that were stalking Manatee after slapping the water with a board did not get the sharks attention. Why there is not more scientific information on Predation, Population, etc. is due to poor research. The locals in areas where they frequent seem to have more knowledge than the so called scientist.
