Makassarese words 22Feb2006

[edit]

Added some words learnt from travelling to Makassar - Tony Krauss, Australia

Fixed up the words added above which had some non-standard spellings - Anthony Jukes, North Sulawesi

The word Billa = far away should be Bella - Adi Putra, born, raised and lived in makassar for 17 years. Oh can also add "jangang = chicken", "Lompo sala = childish, not mature" " Juku' = fish" "tette'= applying to time, as in Tette' rua means 2 o'clock (rua means two in this context)" "solong= melting" "tado'do= sleepy, half asleep" "tindro= asleep" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.62.26.155 (talk) 16:02, 26 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Lontara script is unreadable without the correct character set and "battu ke mae ko ?" or "where have you been ?" has been removed from the list. I am agrieved. - Tony Krauss, Australia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.53.226.17 (talk) 22:00, 18 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
