Notes

[edit]

This article is the franchise article to the entire Macross series. Given the number of series and its 25 year history as a franchise, it is appropriate to have this article here. KyuuA4 (talk) 04:03, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

The current title description is wrong. Macross comes from "Mac" and "OS" as in the operating system. Hence, "Macross II", "Macross 7" and "Macross Plus" to reflect the changes with the Macintosh operating system. Zero and Frontier, differ of course, but that's the origin of the name. Uhhh... no. You're wanting to cite a blog for this?. Not to mention a fan/commerical blog and not an industry blog? The macbeth / macross story is not well documented, I'll give you that. Why don't you write a letter to Studio Nue and ask them or something instead of tossing in this rubbish? 71.65.33.71 (talk) 14:30, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

MAC OS??? Where did you hear this sh*t??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.123.241.243 (talk) 18:32, 12 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Merger

Shouldn't this articled be merged together with Robotech (with Macross being the main title of the article, but reference by both Macross and Robotech)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.170.100.48 (talk) 09:36, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, because the scope of this article also includes the entire franchise, which includes later series such as Macross Plus, Macross 7, and so forth. None of those are related to Robotech at all. The Macross-Robotech correlation begins with the first series and diverges thereafter. KyuuA4 (talk) 16:48, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've removed several links that fall into the category of links to avoid. I would also like to remove the whole fansite area or at least incorporate one or two links to the official ones and just be 'External links' but I'd like to have your input here first. --Quess (talk) 15:49, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Novels

[edit]

Macross was novellized, that info should be here in some form. 76.66.198.171 (talk) 13:35, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Isn't Flashback 2012 the 5th anniversary special? 76.66.198.171 (talk) 13:36, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Source for File:Macross Original Logo.jpg

[edit]

It is most definitely not the logo scene in the original opening titles. Where was this image taken from? --Primus1x (talk) 17:09, 20 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

is there AI usage here?

[edit]

Seems like some phrases like "its important to note" used throughout is making me sorta suspicious of AI usage

others are a shallow passing grade in high school, though i might just be a bit harsh and unreasonable

"Macross explored how individuals cope with warfare. Whereas Gundam is far more political and direct on the horrors of war, each Macross television series is unique for never depicting the antagonists as inherently evil and proved in the end that love, culture, and music can be used to resolve their conflicts.
