Change "Mac OS X Leopard and all later versions of macOS,[11] other than OS X Lion,[12] are UNIX 03 certified." to "Apart from OS X Lion,[12] all versions from Mac OS X Leopard onwards[11] are UNIX 03 certified.". The default UI for macOS is Liquid Glass, as opposed to Aqua as is stated on the box in the right hand side of the page. MIXRMA05 (talk) 18:20, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

I'm not sure what the right way to present this is. There's the UI in general, which still has the common menu bar on top, the Dock, and the usual sort of UI elements that most UIs have, and then there are the design languages, such as the original jellybean Aqua, flattened versions of it, and now Liquid Glass. See Design language § Software, which mentions both Mac and Windows design languages.

Microsoft Windows says that the default user interface is the Windows shell, whose "readily identifiable elements consist of the desktop, the taskbar, the Start menu, the task switcher and the AutoPlay feature. On some versions of Windows, it also includes Flip 3D and the charms", rather than mentioning any of the design languages used over time.

Aqua (user interface) looks as if it mainly talks about the original design language. I'm not sure what page, if any, is the macOS equivalent to the Windows shell page. Guy Harris (talk) 19:50, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
