Transliteration no good

[edit]

It's a difficult thing. I've changed it. I'll put in the Hebrew text. --jnothman 03:25, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Translation unsourced and problematic

[edit]

The translation used here is far from literal. For example, the final verse's first half seems to go without translation, while the second half seems to have strange translations for words like "hasdekha" and "yishekha". The linked tabernacles also seems to be an improper translation here of "משכן" since this word can either refer to the tabernacle or dwelling place of G-d with the Jewish people in the desert, or may refer merely to dwellings, as it does here, and thus the hyperlink is inappropriate. It will thus be replaced with edits from the JPS 1917 edition --jnothman 03:48, 29 Mar 2005 (UTC)

notability and sourcing

[edit]

All eight references in this article refer to themselves. If there are no secondary sources referring to the verses or performers, then this article needs to be subsumed within another larger article on Jewish liturgy. NewkirkPlaza (talk) 20:33, 19 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
