Ship or Vessel...?
[edit]There is a glaring error in the very title of this article. MV (Motor Vessel) is used to designate vessels intermediate between a motor boat (MB) and a motor ship (MS). The Bermuda was inarguably a ship, as all contemporary sources, including the caption on the photograph in the infobox, refer to her. The article should be titled "MS Bermuda". - Looking through all the attached refs, most don't denote a type, but a few do confirm it as MV, while none of them denote it as MS. - \\'cԼF 00:56, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
- Enough sources call her 'M.V.', including The British Motor Ship (!) https://books.google.com/books?id=DUHy97pd1rEC&q=%22M.V.+Bermuda%22&dq=%22M.V.+Bermuda%22&hl=en&redir_esc=y , Shipbuilding and Shipping Record, The Economist etc. MV is merely a variation, not an error by any means. Edit reverted. Mapple (talk) 10:34, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
