I don’t recall seeing such a misinformed Wikipedia page, even the basic definition is wrong! A MUSHRA test is NOT “a methodology for conducting a codec listening test to evaluate the perceived quality of the output from lossy audio compression algorithms.” - it is a “Method for the subjective assessment of intermediate quality level of audio systems” - the actual title of the ITU-R BS. 1534-3 recommendation. So while a MUSHRA test is routinely used to assess codecs it is not specific to audio codecs, it is for assessing “audio systems” in general. For example, assessing speech synthesis models, cochlear implants, headphones, speakers, hearing aids and various other audio system applications.
