[edit]There seems to be a lot of names and abbreviations being added that could be shortened to MM, but I wonder if they really are. Ie, I've never seen Malice Mizer thus shortened . Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this mess? Izuko 11:58, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Expensive amplifiers of the 70s and 80s have seperate inputs for MM PHONO and MC PHONO, these are respectively moving magnet and moving coil systems. I am very surprised not to find them explained here. I was trying to look up the different implications of pre-amplifying the two phono cartridge types. The german wikipedia has articles on this, but not elaborate enough:

I added a citation for mm as used in some financial notations, you can rest easier
[edit]I would like to know who the doubting Thomas is that put citation needed. Why would you put that there when it's something you can verify yourself in 10 seconds on the world wide web? Yes, fantastic as it may seem mm does refer to a million in some financial contexts. Guess what bb stands for? To keep up the irony, it is not clear at all that mm or MM means the same thing for all these. Yet where are the "citation needed" police when you need them for a true error that will confuse people? [edit]As a Graphic Designer I can see a potential Corporate Identify Logo Design for M, where you will have an M that will appear like two Figures connecting.Perhaps I could send a sketch if you are interested. I would have loved to have created it on a computer. Unfortunately I suffered a stroke due to Congestive Cardiac Failure CCF and recently I began having Epileptic fits.
