Merging MG 01 page with MG 08 page

The MG 01 could be merge with the MG 08 page due to overlap of information of both guns. The MG 08 is a development of the MG 01, but there doesn't seem to be any major information to differentiate between the two, so the MG 01 could be added as a variant of the MG 08. Disagree, as I feel like the MG 18 TuF is it's own weapon more than just an MG08 variant and the article can stand on it's own. Tengu99 (talk) 02:33, 8 September 2025 (UTC)

While I would like for it to be a stand alone page, it need more sources and more information. I do not plan to remove the MG 18 TuF page anytime soon. I am waiting for someone to add more information and documentation of the weapon. Just a passing viewer 008 (talk) 13:38, 9 September 2025 (UTC)

I don't think it should be squished into the already rather cluttered page of the MG 08.

Moreover this is already very difficult machine gun to find information on and images of, merging it with the MG 08 page would further degrade the availability of the limited documentation on it. 115.128.54.193 (talk) 08:00, 9 September 2025 (UTC)

If the MG 08 page is considered cluttered then the M1918 Browning automatic rifle page is way too long and cluttered, yet nothing has been done about it. Just a passing viewer 008 (talk) 13:45, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
