Sparganium or Sparganum?

I have edited the hyperlinked text Sparganium (a monocot angiosperm!) into Sparganum because inthe context of seed-ferns, everywhere I saw the use of term "sparganum" or "sparganum-type" (with small s, which may indicate sparganum is not a genus); including Stewart-Rothwell's palaeobotany (Google books https://books.google.co.in/books?id=Fhm-oed74JgC&lpg=PA304&dq=What%20is%20sparganum%20Cortex%3F&pg=PA306#v=onepage&q=What%20is%20sparganum%20Cortex?&f=false).
