One of Bruschelli's Thirteen Wins Is Controversial

[edit]

As former Palio jockeys pointed out in the film PALIO!, Bruschelli can lay claim to only twelve legitimate wins in which he was actually on the horse and rode it to victory. According to Paleo law, if a jockey falls off during the race and the riderless horse then goes on to beat the field, the jockey is granted a win. This is what happened once to Bruschelli. He counts it as one of his victories, but the former jockeys counted it as the horse's win. Younggoldchip (talk) 13:39, 15 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
