Developer's Name
[edit]Heya, given that the dev seems to largely go by just Lucy B. Locks online, is it appropriate to refer to their irl name? Especially given that within the game the 'Lucid Block' is a trans flag, it feels a little weird not to use their chosen alias exclusively. I get informative objectivity but this seems closer to deadnaming to be, completely transparent of my concerns. ~2026-25147-98 (talk) 19:35, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
- I think so too. They updated their socials, but its not 100% clear. Considering that it takes some friction to get to that name and that they have been changing their profiles I think it is safe to put their name as Lucy B Locks. I don't get why it was reverted without reason. ~2026-25953-01 (talk) 17:27, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
- Especially considering their portfolio states this name I would strongly consider reverting the revert @Celtoi

- they said the following though on discord
- "It is a little annoying that absentmindedly putting my name on steam initially is now permanently embedded on the internet though" https://discord.com/channels/1335347351664988200/1335347352260841516/1487345962203746384
- Did someone actually talk to them? ~2026-25953-01 (talk) 18:11, 29 April 2026 (UTC)

- Again, we mostly do not care if the person wants to tell this or not. This source mention it and publicity has the right to know it. From Alba, Celtoi, (talk) 01:49, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

- Other sources mention it, there is nothing wrong with it. Thy conversation doesn't make much sense from Wikipedian point. Wikipedia does not delete information about other people even if they ask it. @~2026-25147-98 @~2026-25953-01 From Alba, Celtoi, (talk) 01:47, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- A majority of recent English sources on this game attribute it to "Lucy B. Locks" including Steam, the currently cited GamePressure.com (which only briefly notes "Eric" as it used to be attached to the Steam page prior to March), both Rock Paper Shotguns, and PCGamer. All of the links on the developer's own website which is currently being cited also go to profiles named Lucy, and those profiles link back to a new website with nearly identical contents but with a newer copyright and named for Lucy. At the very least IMO the Developer in the infobox should be credited as Lucy as no recent source seems to disagree that the game is developed and published by "Lucy B. Blocks," if not the broader article as well per WP:PSEUDONYM and possibly MOS:GENDERID. Noellekiq (talk) 21:31, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- The game was published under the pseudonym and we of course should say that it was developed and published under the same name - Lucy B. Locks. It is very likely MOS:GENDERID, as the game even contains trans-flag blocks, but we must in any case note that the real name of the person is Eric Alfaro.
