Name

Hi, I notice that there's several people changing the name to "James E. Dear IV" in Luci4 article, which I can't find in reliable sources and uncommon per WP:RS and WP:COMMONNAME. What I can find is mostly unverified sources by YouTube and TikTok, which isn't reliable per WP:RSPTIKTOK and WP:RSPYT. I think the "James Dear" name is in reliable sources and the L. A. government website say the name "James Dear".

Shall we still add the full name into the article or not by consensus? Artemhao (talk) 13:11, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

His public arrest record in Jan 2025 by Huntington Beach Police Dept stated his full name is "James Edward Dear IV" so stop removing his full name again! https://www.localcrimenews.com/welcome/detail/93412891/james-dear-iv-arrest.html ~2026-30276-14 (talk) 13:12, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
The comment says, "Do not change the name to "James E. Dear IV", as many reliable sources say the common name "James Dear"". Provide some sources if you actually his name. —KuyaMoHirowo (talkcontribs) 13:20, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I don't think you should cite Local News Crime for a full name, as it is unverified if it's a 100% reliable source or not. Artemhao (talk) 16:25, 20 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
