Company Ownership

Records from the U.S. Copyright Office Public Records System and the copyright notice at the bottom of Lucas's website reveals that Lucas owns or is affiliated with "3909 LLC". The theme song of Papers, Please! among many other digital assets are copyright registered under 3909 LLC, some of which under his name as well.

However, a discrepancy can be observed. Pope's website claims copyright for years between 2012-2026, though the earliest recorded copyright registry I could find under his or the company's name is in 2014. I do not know what this could mean.

The claim that he apparently owns the company is still speculative and this is all purely original research. There may be a secondary source out there that can be cited.

P.S. In addition, there apparently exists a corporate website for 3909. However, it appears to have been last updated since at least 2014, according to the copyright notice on the site's CSS source files. The website itself is extremely scarce and probably used as a placeholder for the company as per legal requirements for digital firms.

COI disclosure

Owning a game or console for that game really isn't a COI issue. The only concern is that you may really like a game (or hate one) and insert biased POV content in articles, but that's a POV issue, not COI. So you are all good. Masem (t) 17:08, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
