Hi, anyone from LA (nieghbourhood of University Park)? Could you take photo of this monument?
[edit]Hi everyone. Are there anyone here from LA, from area of University Park or maybe students of the University of Southern California? Some time ago I wrote article about the Statue of Neil Armstrong (Los Angeles). But it seems there are no photos of it available on Commons. So I was wondering if maybe some student or stauff member (or even just LA resident), could maybe take photo of it? It's located at the campus of the University of Southern California, at the Epstein Family Plaza, near the intersection of Watt Way and Bloom Walk. Here's a photo from Google showing how it looks: 1. San Fernando Valley pic in the infobox
[edit]The infobox currently has seven pics, none of which are in or show the San Fernando Valley or anything to do with it, this despite the Valley being almost 40% of the city population-wise. I think one of the current photos (the Echo Park one if it were up to me) be replaced for a SFV one, perhaps one of these:

The last lines of both sections Demographics > Housing and families and Demographics > Economy repeat the same fact about the poverty line and median household income of LA in short succession and cite seemingly the same source [156] and [157].
Remove the following fact from the Housing and families section: "According to the United States Census, Los Angeles had a 2019-2023 median household income of $80,366, with 16.5% of the population living below the federal poverty line." Mirosith (talk) 07:36, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

Fix hatnote
[edit]Is it okay if I fix the hatnote in this article to the following below?
This is because of this: I don't think it makes sense to put the Los Angeles disambiguation link in the redirect hatnote. I'd rather just put it in the about template. Hikingboii (talk) 21:39, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

I would to request we add a simple paragraph including the current protest in History? Soviet22 (talk) 10:32, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Cannolis (talk) 13:08, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
Edits to lead
[edit]The lead section was edited to state Hollywood's "fading relevance in American culture", which...I'm not sure on that, honestly? I get what it means, that most film productions aren't in LA anymore, but that's been true since 2013. Most of the big studios are still headquartered somewhere in or near LA, Universal, Paramount, Warner Bros., Disney, Sony Pictures, it might not be as much of a production hub, but it's still where the business side of the industry orbits. I don't know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2025-41079-13 (talk) 07:42, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
Clarification regarding population trends and “exodus” phrasing
[edit]The article currently uses the term “exodus” to describe recent population trends in Los Angeles as well as DTLA businesses. I would like to request that this language be re-evaluated to better align with the statistical data provided in the article. The data in the infobox and population table indicates the city’s population declined from approximately 3,899,000 (2020) to 3,878,000 (2024). This represents a decrease of roughly 0.5% over four years. Labeling this an “exodus” appears to be sensationalist and potentially conflates city-level trends with broader, more dramatic reporting on Los Angeles County or regional shifts. Further there is no data to back up the business exodus. The language is not consistent with other articles regarding population or downtown areas. Please consider updating the phrasing to “a modest decline” or “a slight population decrease” to ensure the article remains neutral and reflects the cited data accurately. ~2026-26200-35 (talk) 12:30, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- The use of that word anywhere on this article is sensationalistic. The exodus phrasing in the lead about film production “exodus” also seems sensationalistic and does not belong in the lead. The source is some questionable Indian source which does not meet Wikipedia standards. Anything concerning film production levels belongs in the economy section and not the lead of the article. Add Angel City FC to Sports
[edit]Angel City FC is another major sports team in Los Angeles, in the National Women's Soccer League. ~2026-27090-39 (talk) 20:54, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- never heard of them ~2026-30556-90 (talk) 00:08, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
