Loretta vs Loretto
[edit]The title is Loretta, but in the article it says Loretto.
I know the only remaining family there and they, as well as anyone from the area, refer to it as Loretta. There is no printed source for this so I won't change it, but it is sad to think that the truth, even as irrelevant as it is, won't be part of the Wikipedian account when the town is finally abandoned soon.

- I live in Loretto, not Loretta, KS. There is more than one family living in this very small town. Population of six currently. I'm not sure where you get your information from but it is incorrect. Us people in the area have been trying to correct this mispronunciation for years. One of the store owners changed the name on the store from Loretto to Loretta but this was never an official change. 50.93.237.250 (talk) 04:22, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- I've moved the page to Loretto since all the sources and data I see about the town all have it spelled Loretto instead of Loretta. All references in the article use Loretto as well. Mtcat101 (talk) 16:21, 21 September 2026 (UTC)
