History, when first proposed

The LM-8 components seem the same as the LM-7 - what's different

Since LM-7 and LM-8 share so much perhaps the articles should be merged someday ?

Since LM-7 and LM-8 use same cores and boosters and can both launch from the same launch complex (Wenchang, LC-2) it would be interesting to either have an LM-7/8 article, or show the rockets that launch each year from Wenchang LC-2.

• Wenchang_Space_Launch_Site lists all launches on its two LC, including LM-5. (LM-10 will launch at a future 3rd LC.)

Flight number column in List of launches seems mis named

'Flight number' column in List of launches seems misnamed. Col 1 is 'Flight No.', Col 3 is "Flight number", but Yn looks like the serial build number for each variant. List_of_Long_March_launches_(2020–2024) labels as 'Serial number'. Suggest we change col 3 label to "Variant serial Nr." or merge into col 2 as "Variant and serial nr." eg. CZ-8 Y2. Other Long March launch lists may have already done this. - For now just changing heading to "Variant serial Nr." - Rod57 (talk) 11:33, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
