Literal meaning?

Intro: logorrhea or logorrhoea (from Ancient Greek λόγος logos and ῥέω rheo "to flow")

Logorrhea (psychology) → Logorrhea – Seems to be kind of a WP:SURPRISE situation that this subject is not at the base title. The only other title on the disambiguation page, Verbosity, though itself has a similar amount of page views as Logorrhea (psychology), when considering how many people will attempt to look up the word "Logorrhea" to arrive at Verbosity, apparently represented by the redirect Logorrhea (rhetoric)Logorrhea (rhetoric), it seems to be used very seldom if ever (page views). • Oppose per Necrothesp. I agree that normally this would just be a cause for a hatnote, but it would be an awkward one. • • This ngrams shows that "verbosity" is a more common word, but that's irrelevant. The question is what topic someone typing in "logorrhea" might expect to find. This ngrams shows that "fate" is more common than "destiny" but they still mean the same thing and one redirects to the other on Wikipedia. SnowFire (talk) 04:26, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
