Mid April 2026, I have rewritten the old article on "Logarithmic norm". The old article had multiple issues, some inconsistencies, unsuitable notation, and had been edited to include some minor errors.

The new article brings the article up to date including the latest research. It is based on my 500 page monograph on the topic (published 2024 with Springer, see references) and oen of my colleague's recent books (see reference by Bullo 2022).

The objective is to bring the article to "FA" quality level. Of course it is of rather specialized interest, but it is important to remove dated and/or misleading material.

I also wrote the original article back in or around 2010, while contracted to write another encyclopedic article on the topic. The new article includes many new hints and mentions of the latest research, which I have largely undertaken in the past 6-8 years. This includes applications, and references to modern stability theory in control theory.

Notation is now consistent and focused on the modern notation. Old terminology (which was incorrect or misleading) has been removed or put in the "history" section.

If preferred I'd be happy to sign the article.
