On page xi of The History of Llanthony Priory Robert Bartlett writes "the house in Gloucestershire is termed Llanthony 'of', 'outside', or 'by' Gloucester in the Middle Ages, and modern writers often call it Lanthony Secunda, usually with a single 'L'." Lanthony Secunda Priory → LLanthony Secunda Priory – Name changed without consultation on the flimsy grounds that some people might spell it with one L, despite all official sources using the correct spelling. iI appears as Llanthony priory in all the reliable sources I can find, including Historic England, English Heritage, various articles on the BBC website and the writings of Hugh Conway-Jones, who has published various histories of Gloucester and the docks.   What you were officially suggesting is LLanthony Secunda Priory. The capitalization of the second letter may have been a typo. If you just want to revert the recent undiscussed move, you don't need an RM for that. —⁠ ⁠BarrelProof (talk) 22:26, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
