section on La Brea woman, a 9000 year old specimen and the only human remains ever discovered in the La Brea tarpits in los angeles, california.

Map discoveries

[edit]

I would love to see a map that identifies the locations where the remains have been found. I am especially curious about the concentration of the discoveries on certain geographic locations.

If you pursue this, it would be interesting to indicate the age of the remains (maybe color-coded).

Thanks for your great work!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.89.74.165 (talk • contribs) 10:46, 1 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Some age assertions

[edit]

I'm no expert buy in reaction to an appearance on my watchlist I just made this edit to another article where the age of Homo luzonensis is asserted to be 134,000 years, citing a 2023 study. I see that the Homo luzonensis article agrees with this. This article puts it at about 50,000 years. I took a quick look at the article cited and it looks to me as if info inthere may impact other fossils, but someone who knows more about this stuff than I should fix this stuff if it needs fixing. It shows a T Rex fossil, which isn't related to human evolution. Oo Uui (talk) 15:19, 6 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Pay a bit more attention to the elements of the page. The image in question is part of Template:Paleontology, not part of this article. The same image will be displayed in whatever page uses the template. Dimadick (talk) 15:31, 6 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
