Charles de Gaulle Terminal 1 doesn't seem to be on anyones list, but I believe it does qualify. It has an imposing facade of raw concrete, with expose concrete structural elements both exterior and interior. Brutalist Structures in Africa

Hey all, I noticed the section on brutalist structures in Africa is empty. If brutalism is characterized by its use of "rough surfaces, massive forms, and unusual shapes" as well as the time period, then there are a couple buildings that seem to fit the bill in parts of Africa.

There's this one: La Pyramide (1973) in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, by Rinaldo Olivieri

Here's a link to the wiki article: La Pyramide (building) The article doesn't specify that it's a brutalist structure, but given that it was built in 1973 and it... looks the way it looks, I think it qualifies.

There's also this one: Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. It was built in 1973 as well. Both the Kenyatta International Convention Centre and La Pyramide fall under the umbrella of "African Modernism" but Brutalism is a subset of Modernism so there's some overlap there and I think these structures qualify. The article for the building itself lists the architectural style as "Modernism" Schvaxet (talk) 15:46, 7 February 2023 (UTC)

Brutalist buildings in China.

Hello, just updated a section to include brutalist buildings for China. I'm not sure how to properly source and I'm open to help. I also did not format it correctly but I am trying to fix that now.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've converted this to an inline reference with the 'name' "Dezeen China". This can be added elsewhere using '<ref name="Dezeen China"/>'. You might want to look at Wikipedia:Inline citation for guidance on how to add inline citations – the documentation is fairly extensive, but can be hard to find unless you already know what you're looking for! @Hellothereperso - thanks for the update. I found a second citation for the Nigbo Museum. For the other location, Shui Cultural Center - well that was pointed to part of the Bloomberg Buildings in New York, and the USA has its own list. So I don't know what happened there. I have for the moment "hidden" that line in source code in case there is a real English WP article for the Shui Cultural Center which I couldn't find. That said the Center won a few prizes, generating content, so it would be OK for a new article if necessary. In addition I found 5 other entries in the Atlas book which separately had Wikipedia entries, so I added those too. There are other buildings in China that can be added in due course.
