IBA issues

IBA claims should not be presented in an uncritical manner. They were suspended from the Olympics in 2019 and ultimately banned in 2023 for lack of governance and transparency. Their boss has been described as having deep ties to Russian organised crime and heroin smuggling. TarnishedPath^talk 05:41, 13 August 2024 (UTC)

Disqualified under medal record

This has not been discussed at length in this article, but my view is that the medal record in the infobox should not include the “Disqualified” at the 2023 New Delhi. This is not a medal, and even if the event was notable, it should simply be described in the main article. Being disqualified (controversial or not) is not a medal. Details not entirely correct on 2026 reinstatement

It should be mentioned that Lin actually failed the initial sex screening by World_Boxing, which detected a SRY gene (which can only be present with a Y chromosome, i.e. a male genetic setup). Taiwan's boxing association then appealed the decision, presenting additional medical records, as required for an appeal. The WB medical committee reviewed the documentation, and decided that Lin is eligible for the female category. What do you want to change the text from and to? I think it's probably incomplete rather than incorrect, but it's certainly incomplete. If you can flesh it out then great, with the usual caveats about BLPs. Clicriffhard (talk) 19:47, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
