Pro-Am

[edit]

I think it would be useful to show which clubs are pro and which are amateur. Sadly I wouldn't know how to go about doing this myself.  sʟυмɢυм  т  c  22:20, 14 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

The image Image:Le nouveau logo FFF.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Clubs are wrong

[edit]

Le Mans, Sedan, and Rouen aren't playing in the Championnat this year because they were relegated for entering administration. Paris FC, Bourg-Péronnas, and Uzes Pont-du-Gard replaced them.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Ialangford (talkcontribs) 19:23, 11 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

History section

[edit]

I removed the History section, added no doubt in good faith. The section talked about the future of the competition (upcoming restructuring, and the potential future relationship with/as Ligue 3) and nothing in the past. It was very badly translated (from somewhere, not looked where). Would suggest this material belongs in a "Future of the competition" section, not as history. Championnat National

[edit]

Gricehead, why did you not replace Sedan for Nancy? You know that Nancy will stay up because Sedan is excluded from the league. 2A00:23C8:3984:6201:59BC:274E:3F4F:68BA (talk) 08:16, 11 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Before Ligue 3 change

[edit]

Hi. Before we change this article to Ligue 3, we have to establish whether the Ligue 3 is a new league or just a continuation of Championnat National. The reason for this is that the Championnat National will become the new name of the Championnat National 2.
Basically, I propose making a new, separate article for Ligue 3 while just clarifying that "Championnat National" (i.e. this article) is the new fourth-tier instead of changing three different article titles. We can just edit the articles to list their appropriate "tier" after the new league's introduction. Edit: on hindsight, let's wait to see if it's recognized as a new league or a continuity.
Another thing is I saw that the National is perhaps going to be formally called the National 1 now? This could save a lot of problems for redirects. TLDR, let's wait for more details as the league gets closer to starting in August. Paul Vaurie (talk) 00:16, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Seems as if it's being treated as the same league with a rebranding. Paul Vaurie (talk) 07:50, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Move discussion in progress
