Profit Levels

I heard on the radio that one of the reasons that "LIDL is cheaper" is that they keep their profit levels to 2% whereas Tesco and Sainsbury's expect 7%. Is this true? 86.41.149.8 08:19, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Controversy

The controversy section is far too long. I am sure that other supermarkets have had just as much controversy over the years. It appears that Wikipedia has a vendetta against Lidl! Cls14 (talk) 12:21, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

Agreed. Appalled by this bias compared to their main competitor Aldi - someone needs to investigate editors use of this site for deliberately denigrating a company. Not ethical or fair AndeanaPaul (talk) 17:59, 22 September 2019 (UTC)

Hello. Mentioning facts is not denigration. Bad things are cited on many articles about companies. Lists of controversies and criticisms are sometimes very long. Please see the article Criticism of Amazon, for example. If you think the Aldi page is missing controversies, you may obviously add them there if you can provide reliable sources. I think consumers need to know the facts so that they can make informed choices. Lidl is one the large multinational corporations that need to come under scrutiny. Lidl of Mesampelies, Heraklion, Crete, Greece

This is a Lidl which is now about three years old. It consists of three floors. A basement with an underground parking and two exhibits about ancient Crete. A ground floor consisting of the store. It has a bakery, and shelves of both discounted and non discounted products of Lidl Hellas. And a first floor with a rooftop parking, and EV charging stations.It also consists of a display showing free spaces per parking lot, escalators formerly moving ramps, and a huge Schindler elevator.
