Reception Section

[edit]

The Reception Sections is almost entirely negative. Are there really no positive sources on his podcast or were these all hand picked to leave the reader with a poor impression? MasterBlasterofBarterTown (talk) 15:36, 12 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

I highly doubt that there is any nefarious plan to ignore positive sources, since neutrality is one of the core tenants of Wikipedia. If positive sources are not included, this likely means either they do not exist or were missed. If it is the latter, then by all means post some here so they can be discussed. There are positive comments in there. Zenomonoz (talk) 00:32, 25 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
I have added two quotes from pre-existing sources to rectify your complaint. Elghent (talk) 01:44, 12 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
It is negative for a reason. No conspiracy. I just did a check on YouTube and it is mainly negative. --Inayity (talk) 11:15, 25 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Change "At Google Fridman participated in..." to "At Google, Fridman participated in..." This is in the second sentence of the Career section under the MIT subsection. Erijvin (talk) 18:06, 17 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

change “podcaster or Tajik origin” to “podcaster of Tajik origin” in the first paragraph ~2025-40395-48 (talk) 07:46, 13 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

I have undone the latest change, per MOS:NATIONALITY. Mellk (talk) 07:52, 13 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Nationality

[edit]

Given how long he has lived in the US, he is certainly American. But shouldn't Fridman also be described as "Soviet-born", since he wasn't born in the US? Wouldn't he be a "Soviet-born American [...]" individual? ~2026-37549-85 (talk) 09:34, 30 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Please see MOS:NATIONALITY. The birthplace is not really something that is relevant to his notability. Mellk (talk) 09:37, 30 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
