Memorable coin for Lev Berg

In 2001, the Central Bank of Transnistria minted a silver coin honoring this native of today's Transnistria, as part of a series of memorable coins called The Outstanding People of Pridnestrovie.

Lev versus Leo

There appear to be sources using both Lev and Leo, and some belief that both are correct, with Leo simply the anglicized version. One source supporting the use of Lev is his obituary in the geographical record. I don't have access to the entire obituary, but this link includes the opening portion, and the use of "Lev".--SPhilbrickT 17:57, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Foundations or Principles?

The bio section refers to "Foundations of Climatology" while the works section refers to "Principles of climatology". According to Ghirlandajo, as noted here, the original Russian could be translated as either.--SPhilbrickT 19:26, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Mountain Range

There is a small mountain range in Antarctica named for Berg.
