Insect image that is not Leptocoris should not be on this page

[edit]

The image entitled 'Nymph of Leptocoris abdominalis, Taiwan' in not in the genus Leptocoris and should be removed. While is good to include an image of juvenile ('nymph') insects to go along with those of adults, unfortunately this image is in another genus that is not closely related to Leptocoris (probably Dysdercus). @Scottpcarroll thanks for pointing it out. We are discussing File:Leptocoris abdominalis sucking juices out of a rotting leaf.jpg. To be safe I will remove the image from the article and place a disputed tag on the file in Commons (where it is hosted). These cases are tricky, which person do we believe? And everyone is susceptible to making errors. I will ping the uploader @Mearchan and hope they reply, but they haven't edited since 2021. Commander Keane (talk) 00:47, 7 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
