I have been studying Leon G. Turrou's career for some time and have accumulated considerable new material which would improve this page. However, I don't want to upset those who have already contributed. Sure, please send what you have. You can contact me directly at bareford@yahoo.com . Turrou is sort of a pet project of mine. I contributed to Rhodri Jeffreys-Jones book "Ring of Spies" in which Turrou figures prominently. You can get a feel for my take from Turrou's Find a Grave memorial 175575176. I've put off from making major changes to the Wikipedia page trying to comply with Wiki's strict attribution and format standards. Bcrford (talk) 16:46, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

"From 1916 to 1920, Turrou served with the French Army and was soon sent to fight on Eastern Front. He was wounded in an engagement with the Germans." This statement is false. Leon Turrou never served in the French army during WW1.
