In his two latest books Bill James reluctantly concedes that Walter Johnson was probably greater than Lefty after all, but only because of the length of his career....Hayford Peirce 19:18, 2 Jul 2004 (UTC)

His birth name was Groves, not Grove. Connie Mack was the one person who always referred to him as "Groves". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.26.56.2 (talk) 21:22, 24 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Lefty Grove Award

[edit]

No mention here of the Lefty Grove Award, as mentioned here. Spicemix (talk) 00:54, 20 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

The mention on the Ed Cheff page should be to the Lefty Gomez Award, per . I'll update that page and provide the source, as the source now provided at Cheff's page does not mention the award at all. I'm not familiar with any "Lefty Grove Award," and certainly not from ABCA. Tyrol5 [talk] 01:42, 21 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
