Broadcast dates

[edit]

It is clear from the cited BBC page that this broadcast of Lefties from October 2007 (not the previous year as someone had erroneously indicated) is a repeat - look at the timings given for the broadcast in the early morning in the BBC source. IMDb has the series being first transmitted between 8 and 22 February 2006, which looks to be correct. (I know IMDb has a mixed reputation on Wikipedia.) There are enough sources dating from February 2006 to suggest that the dates are spot on, although there are mainly insufficient reliable sources for the error to be corrected coherently without recourse to IMDb. By this, I mean that it is clear from Ian Jack's article from The Observer of 4 February 2006 that the trilogy is about to be broadcast.

I have taken the liberty of substituting the dates given on IMDb. It is evident from Jack's article (and IMDb) that the programme on the News on Sunday fiasco went out third rather than first, as was previously suggested in this article. Philip Cross (talk) 18:01, 2 May 2014 (UTC).Reply

I've just updated the BBC link, which confirms the first broadcast date as 8 February 2006. Blurryman (talk) 19:21, 1 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
