Incorrect info on article - COI request

The article states that Leena Nair was the first and youngest female CEO of Chanel which is incorrect. This should be deleted. Improving accuracy and neutrality of article to remove Wikipedia violation in place since 2023

This article has had displayed a Wikipedia neutrality violation since September 2023. I would like to improve the neutrality to remove the violation, however I have a COI to Chanel so, I am unable to make these changes myself.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance from neutral editors to review and implement the following article updates.

1. Unilever Leadership Achievements.

Current Text: “Under her leadership, Unilever has been named the number one FMCG graduate employer of choice in 54 countries.”
Proposed Change: “During her tenure, Unilever was recognised as a top FMCG graduate employer in multiple countries.”

Reason for Change: The suggested phrasing maintains accuracy while adhering to neutral language standards.

2. Advocate for Human-Centred Workplaces.

Current Text: “Advocate for human-centred workplaces and compassionate leadership.”
Proposed Change: “She has publicly spoken in support of human-centred workplaces and a compassionate leadership approach.”

4. Awards and Recognition. The current list of awards is extensive and sounds too promotional. I propose reducing the list to the following five most notable and recent awards supported by reliable references:

Ranked 70th on Fortune's list of Most Powerful Women in 2023
Thinkers 50 List – Thinkers Who Will Shape the Future of Business (2019)
Recognized by Queen Elizabeth II as one of the accomplished Indian Business Leaders in the UK (2017)
Top 10 list of FT HERoes Champions of Women in Business by the Financial Times (2017–2019)
Global Indian of the Year – The Economic Times' Prime Women Leadership Awards (2020)

1) Eliminate all puffery

2) Get rid of spammy references on SEO sites like https://www.thekeyexecutives.com/2022/08/24/ceo-leena-nair-shows-that-hard-work-is-always-in-fashion/. How can her own Linkedin profile be used as a source??

COI request for Leena Nair #3

Commenting on the talk page here again as I have a COI with the subject of this page. I would like to suggest some factual corrections for review by independent editors, to bring this page in line with accuracy and neutrality guidelines.

What I think should be changed:

- The article currently says: “Nair became Chanel’s first female and Indian-origin chief executive officer (CEO) in December 2021.”

• This should be changed to: “Nair became Chanel’s Global Chief Executive Officer in December 2021"

She is not the first female CEO of Chanel; Maureen Chiquet held the role from 2007 to 2016.”

The sentence “Under Nair’s leadership, Chanel has three new themes: sustainability, exclusivity, and gender equality” should be removed, as it has no cited source.

The line “During Nair’s tenure, Fondation Chanel has become the biggest investor in the ‘UK cultural landscape.’” should be revised to: “Fondation CHANEL is a global philanthropic organisation that supports projects empowering women and girls in more than 50 countries.”

-Update current and former positions:

• Remove “Member of the Trust Board at Leverhulme Trust” (she is no longer listed as a trustee).
• Remove “Non-Executive Board Member at BT plc” (she stepped down in 2022).

Why it should be changed:

• Maureen Chiquet was Chanel’s Global CEO from 2007 to 2016, so Leena Nair is not the first female CEO.
• The “first female and Indian-origin CEO” claim is factually incorrect and misleading.
• The statement about Chanel’s “three new themes” lacks a verifiable source and therefore should be removed for accuracy.
• Fondation CHANEL’s description of being the “biggest investor in the UK cultural landscape” is unsupported and misrepresents the organisation’s global mission.
• Board memberships at BT and the Leverhulme Trust are outdated and no longer accurate.

I’ve updated the Vogue reference with a current working URL to replace the expired link. I have also added an independent secondary source to support the statement about Fondation CHANEL’s activities.

As I have a declared conflict of interest, I’m not able to make the edits directly. Given there seems to be consensus on the proposed changes, would one of you be willing to review and implement them on the page?
