Abandoned user draft

[edit]

I will be adding new research on this page. I am going to cite the information within this week. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emjma (talkcontribs) 07:04, 27 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Emjma added some material here but then left some unfinished work in her user space. Please would an interested editor assess the material added at , incorporate what is useful, blank that page as WP:COPYARTICLE, and leave a note here when done? – Fayenatic London 08:20, 19 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Add A Fact: "Lack of play and toys for young children"

[edit]

I found a fact that might belong in this article. See the quote below

The available data also show that around 1 in 5 children aged 2-4 years do not play with their caregivers at home, while roughly 1 in 8 under age 5 do not have toys or playthings at home.

The fact comes from the following source:

https://data.unicef.org/topic/early-childhood-development/home-environment/

Additional comments from user: How important it is for children to play and interact with adults.

Proposed addition about learning through play

[edit]

Hi everyone, I am a new editor and learning how to contribute. I would like to add a short sentence about how play-based learning supports early speech and language development in toddlers. I plan to include a citation from the American Academy of Pediatrics. I think this addition would strengthen the article because it currently does not mention communication or language development. Let me know what you all think, thank you! Bloomingwithspeech (talk) 03:22, 24 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Possible AI text

Concerns have been raised about AI-generated content in this article. This is a procedural talk page section to discuss it. There is no need to ping me in response. Rationale: Passionforbaking "copyedits," see WP:AISIGNS Gnomingstuff (talk) 14:14, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
