Astor family

On 31st December 2015‎, I removed an odd claim that Mrs. Lopes was "a member of the Astor family". ‎Monkelese reverted my removal. It is clear that Mrs. Lopes was born into the Parker Bowles family and married into the Lopes family. It is also clear that Mr. Lopes is descended from the Astor family. However, a person is not a member of every family from whom one is descended, let alone a member of every family from whom their spouse is descended. Mr. Lopes is descended from a great number of well-known and influential families, and we could easily increase the length of this article by several orders of magnitude by listing them. He is not, however, a member of any of these families, apart from his own (by which I mean the Lopes family) and neither is his wife. Parents

One of her parents is given as “Camilla Shand”. At the time of Laura’s birth, her mother’s name was Camilla Parker Bowles. Is there a reason not to use this name? JDAWiseman (talk) 23:56, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

Birthday

Mrs. Lopes' birthday is incorrect. Her birthday is April 19, 1978. I have a copy of her birth certificate from the General Register Office, which I obtained in doing research on the Royal Family. Step father?

Why are some people saying that she is William & Harry's half sister as opposed to step sister? Is there suspicion that Charles is her biological father, despite her being born when Camilla was still in her first marriage? I don't know if there is any actual evidence of it, but there is, for example, this recent YouTubeVideo with over 1.2 million views which appears to be suggesting exactly that. While it might feel plausible, without confirmed paternity test results or official confirmation I wouldn't assume that it's anything more than an attempt to get a lot of views. More charitably, if the channel's operators are not native English speakers it might also be an error in translation - someone misunderstanding that step-sister and half-sister do not mean the same thing. Why portrait instead of photo?

Birthday, again

We need a better reference than Getty Images for her birthday being April 19. Dates are often wrong on Getty, and if this date is correct, it doesn't mean very much, because the photo is of her celebrating her birthday, which could be just around her actual birthday and not on it. A user who has since deleted their page claimed to have a copy of her birth certificate, but did not provide it.

I do think her birthday is probably in April, and I don't think the user was lying, but there needs to be a more reliable source than a photo from Getty Images of Laura Lopes "celebrating her birthday" and a former Wikipedia user's claim with no evidence, especially when many other sources claim her birthday is January 1.
