Proposal to add Controversy section regarding Swiss Ombudsman ruling

[edit]

I would like to propose an addition as "Controversy" section regarding the company's operational structure.

On December 1, 2025, the Ombudsman of the Swiss Travel Industry officially declined jurisdiction over a consumer complaint regarding BravoNext S.A. (the primary operating subsidiary of lastminute.com group), stating: "Although BravoNext has its registered office in Switzerland, it is merely a shell company of Lastminute.com abroad. As this company is not affiliated with any customer money protection scheme, we do not accept complaints." This official classification challenges the company's public stance on consumer protection and operational substance in Switzerland.

Given the significance of a major travel OTA being classified as an uninsured "shell company" by its national Ombudsman, I believe this is relevant encyclopedic information. Can an editor review this for inclusion? ~2025-40850-44 (talk) 21:18, 16 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
