Updating and adjusting note on review of "The Kingdom: Exodus"

The source used is a review that is not as positive as the synthesis in von Trier's article. The meanings do not align. Therefore I have edited the article to match the actual wording in the review. Nobiliary particle

Because Trier is a historic and well-known German city, "von Trier" doesn't ring true as the name of a German noble family and I wonder if the film director was aware of it. Stroheim and Sternberg sound far more plausible in that regard. You'll very seldom if ever come across names in the nobility with a city after the particle, e.g. "von Hamburg" or "von Berlin". Indeed "von Trier" is strongly reminiscent of many Dutch names that use "van" followed by a place name and aren't of the nobility.

I'm not asserting that a change definitely needs to be made. I just wanted to leave this here and see if anyone else has any ideas or opinions about it.Pithecanthropus4152 (talk) 10:14, 23 January 2025 (UTC)

Paternity

There is literally no proof or corroborating evidence (source or otherwise) that says Fritz Michael Hartmann is this man's father. Yet it is stated here as fact, with his picture up. At the very least it should say alleged, or have some kind of legitimate source to back it up. I don't know about citation 80, but this particular fact is in the article twice, and the other time, the citation links to this article, which backs up the claim. -- irn (talk) 21:12, 18 August 2025 (UTC)

Undue weight tag in Controversy Section

I've had a look through the section and the sources, and I don't really see an issue with undue weight here. Most of the content is well-supported by inline citations from reliable sources, and the material covered is directly to his career and public reception as a filmmaker. Unless there are specific concerns about weight or sourcing, I don’t think the neutrality tag is necessary and it could probably be removed. Rmagna (talk) 14:13, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
