Was he born in New York City or did he immigate
[edit]The sentance about his birth is just confusing. Was he born in New York City or did he immigrate. Part of me thinks this is saying his father and mother immigrated from Hungary, but that is not what it actually says. It just gives me a headache. John Pack Lambert (talk) 19:58, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- He was never John Rooney. I can't imagine where that came from!! He was my father's half-brother and I knew him. They had a Mother in common. I have a copy of his birth certificate. He was born Lazarus Goldberger on December 15th 1896, in the City of New York. His parents Ella Ehrlich and Adolph Goldberger. His mother Ella, her sister, my grandaunt Bella, and my great-grandmother Rosa emigrated from Hungary in 1888 according to immigration records obtained from Ancestry.com.
