The article currently lists 20 large burghs, but the ext link says "19": * Which is correct?--Mais oui! 09:32, 3 December 2005 (UTC) It's OK: Arbroath was listed twice.--Mais oui! 09:36, 3 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

There were 21! The list was a bit of a mess: Johnstone and Perth are the same place, while Motherweell and Wishaw was a single burgh, plus others were missing. see Local Government (Scotland) Act 1947 Lozleader 21:45, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
