Proposed change in article

[edit]

Hi ! @Sitush I am proposing the below edit in the early life section of this article with source.

Lakhmi Chand was born in Janti Kalan, a village in the Sonepat district of Haryana, to a family of Gaur Brahmin farmers. Pitahma (talk) 09:29, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Pitahma I'm not getting involved. You seem to have an obsession of sorts with Gaur Brahmins and too many of the people who do seem to end up being blocked as sockpuppets. I'm fed up of wasting my time dealing with them. - Sitush (talk) 09:35, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Okay , I will add reliable source & you just check if its reliable or not as Wikipedia editor. Pitahma (talk) 09:45, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Pitahma It would probably be a good idea to move away from attempting to assign castes to people. Despite its continued prevalence as a social construct, a notable person's caste is rarely significant to what they do or did. This one seems be an example of that - there is no indication of how his caste influenced what he did.
We get far too many caste glorifiers on Wikipedia and invariably it doesn't end well for them. They just create more pointless work for others. - Sitush (talk) 10:22, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
