Hello - I've chosen this stub off a list of skepticism stubs to rewrite. I'm not sure there are great citations out there, but I found three that seem to be pretty good and they are RS. Okay I'm done - much more interesting about the research than the folklore I think. The page can be expanded as more citations are found. The 2020 article was way over my head, but I read it twice and tried to sum it up, if someone wants to take another stab at it that would be great. Also I didn't find anywhere the results from the 2013 expedition, did they find the underground tunnel? Did they get into the trench? Was the record broken eventually? I think a good guide of what this article could be expanded into would be to look at the Lake Baikal page. Another thing that would really improve this page would be photos. There were a lot on the The Siberian Times articles, some really terrific photos. I did include a link to a 20 second video of the 2013 expedition which showed how darn cold it was. Oh my gosh I froze most of the time while doing this research, possibly just because I was thinking about it. As usual, I will keep this page on my watchlist for a time, but will remove it after a few months, so if you need to get ahold of me, please do so directly. Enjoy!
