LIRC (Linux telecomando a raggi infrarossi) è un pacchetto open source che permette agli utenti di ricevere e inviare segnali a infrarossi con un sistema di computer Linux-based.
C'è un equivalente di Microsoft Windows LIRC chiamato WinLIRC.
Con LIRC e un ricevitore IR,l'utente può controllare il proprio computer con quasi tutto il telecomando a infrarossi (per esempio un telecomando TV).
