The article makes no reference to the fact that the Sherpa was the 'Morris Marina' of the van world. Universally loathed by anyone who had the experience of driving a decent van. Rusty, noisy, uncomfortable, underpowered, thirsty, ugly, rusty and with recirculating ball steering so inadequate that any correlation between the direction of travel and the position of the steering wheel was largely co-incidental. Yes, I suffered the misery of being driven around in Sherpas in the 80s and even worse, my wife bought an LDV Van-derived camper in the 2000s that demonstrated that none of the issues were fixed in later models.
