Incomplete citations

[edit]

@Ilamxan: I tried to obtain full citations for the books you added in your recent edits, but hit a brick wall on the first try. I was just about to use the 2006 version of the book,

  • Jwaideh, Wadie (2006). The Kurdish National Movement : Its Origins And Developments (Contemporary Issues in the Middle East). Syracuse University Press. ISBN 9780815630937. OL 8049553M.

then checked the three page numbers you cited. They didn't match the content you added. So I searched for key words and the concepts you wrote, again I could not find anything. I especially checked the quote "their intimate knowledge of the passes and the speed of their mounts" and it doesn't exist in the 2006 version (which is available on several websites, including kurdipedia). Perhaps it was a different version.

Please add some extra information about each of the books you added in citations, perhaps add a year or a link or an ISBN... anything to further identify the book and the version. I can tidy up the citations in the article if you prefer to put the information here on the talk page.

Here is a list of the book-like sources you added:

  • Allison, The Yezidi Oral Tradition in Iraqi Kurdistan
  • Edmonds, Kurds, Turks and Arabs
  • Edwards, The Persians Amongst the Kurds
  • Frye, The Heritage of Persia
  • Galbraith, The Future of Kurdistan in Iraq
  • Gershevitch, The Cambridge History of Iran, vol. 1
  • Hassanpour, Nationalism and Language in Kurdistan
  • Hillenbrand, The Crusades: Islamic Perspectives
  • Houston, Islam, Kurds and the Turkish Nation State
  • Jwaideh, The Kurdish National Movement
  • Koohi-Kamali, The Political Development of the Kurds in Iran
  • Layard, Nineveh and Its Remains, vol. II
  • McDowall, A Modern History of the Kurds
  • Mokri, Kurdish Culture and Resistance
  • Rawlinson, Narrative of a Journey into Mesopotamia, vol. 1
  • Rich, Narrative of a Residence in Kurdistan, vol. 1
  • Savory, Iran Under the Safavids
  • van Bruinessen, Agha, Shaikh and State
  • Yildiz, The Kurds in Iran: The Past, Present and Future
