Spelling and grammar note
This article has strong ties to Belize. Per MOS:TIES it uses standard formal written English as used in this country, which for encyclopedia purposes is very similar to British English.

[edit]Added a tonne of content (I think this article was a stub before 8 Dec), though there's still some stuff to do (might get to this later this month, though not sure at the moment :) –
- add content from sources listed in full citations section but not yet cited in article,
- bring use of foreign terms into compliance with WP guidelines,
- glossary section may need editing to comply with WP guidelines on glossary sections,
- may want to re-organise constitution section (eg organise content by constitution type, ie unitary vs federated states),
- authority and rights sections could use more details, though not sure if they're available in the literature,
- economy and history sections could use more details, and I'm pretty sure these are available in the vars. sources listed (eg Roys 1943),
- expand list section to include acceptance/rejection tallies for scholars other than Roys / Wallace,
- expand legacy, especially subsections on scholarship, as these details are available in literature (eg in Graham 2011).
