Lead

[edit]

This is good. I have included a few wording changes below:

  • 'Created by Akifumi Yamada and was initially designed by Hirofumi Nakamura, she is a bounty hunter and characterized as a greedy schemer and often emotional.' This reads a bit odd. Would this be an improvement? 'Created by Akifumi Yamada and initially designed by Hirofumi Nakamura, Koyori is a bounty hunter and is characterized as a greedy schemer, often emotional.'?
  • Fixed.
  • 'and is accompanied by a blue shapeshifting shikigami.'
  • Fixed.
  • 'attributed to the developers putting a heavy emphasis on fanservice and contrasted in discussion to its original counterpart.' > 'attributed to the developers putting a heavy emphasis on fanservice, with a contrast in discussion to its original counterpart.'
  • Fixed.
  • This one's a bit harder. Noted is actually recommended against, per WP:NOTED. I've had people on GANs suggest to avoid it entirely.
Having read that, I believe that it refers to using the word when writing about something, rather than writing that somebody else, in this case Kurt Kalata, noted something. The difference is subtle but important. I won't fail the criterion for this though. This sentence is fine as is. 11WB (talk) 17:11, 23 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Development and design

[edit]
  • 'She was designed by artist Hirofumi Nakumura after Yamada gave him a brief outline of the character, and made to be a shrine maiden and given a biplane to use in-game as he felt it fit her personality and design.' This is quite wordy and would be better split. 'She was designed by artist Hirofumi Nakumura after Yamada gave him a brief outline of the character...'
  • Fixed.
  • 'and a more tomboyish personality by the final.' - By the final... what?
  • Fixed (removed by the final)
  • Fixed. (Missing 'bust')

Appearances

[edit]
  • 'Koyori was also featured Mahjong Hot Trick Integral' The inclusion of 'in' would be good here.
  • Fixed.

This section is written fine otherwise! 11WB (talk) 15:49, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Promotion and reception

[edit]
  • 'and Cerberus Project, and MegaHouse' An 'and' on both is unnecessary here, only the last listed should have one.
  • Fixed.
  • 'Koyori was well received upon debut, becoming quickly popular' Word order. I would change this to 'quickly becoming popular' instead.
  • Fixed.
  • 'Game Hihyou praised the character designs in Tengai, feeling being able to actually see them'. 'Feeling being able' reads a bit weird here. I am unsure of an alternative way to word this.
  • Fixed. Changed wording to emphasize the visibility of the characters in-game.
  • 'though joking called her obsession with money problematic.' I think this should be 'jokingly'?
  • Fixed.
  • 'something they felt game the titles a bit of personality.' Odd wording choice. I think this is supposed to say that they felt it gave the titles personality?
  • Fixed.
  • 'Kurt Kalata for the website meanwhile'. I wouldn't bother with including 'for the website' here, as it already states beforehand that he is writing for HG101.
  • Fixed.
  • 'While he acknowledged such wasn't unusual in Japan'. I would change 'such' to 'that this'. Same for the following sentence.
  • Fixed.
  • 'but was surprised too' > 'but was also surprised'.
  • Fixed. Removed too, as also would imply he was surprised alongside somewhere else. Should retain the actual meaning without either..
  • 'in how several of her endings result in her paired with a female character such as the princess, often due to her own fault.' Awkward wording here, especially the last part. Maybe try 'in how several of her endings reulted in her being paired with a female character such as the princess, through her own volition.'
  • Fixed.

This is a well-written article for the most part. These are basically just minor wording and phrasing edits! 11WB (talk) 16:00, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 14:02, 23 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Infobox

[edit]
  • Ref 6: Source confirms Asuka Ito voices the character in Lost Origin. checkY

Development and design

[edit]

This section relies almost entirely on WP:OFFLINE sources.

  • Ref 10: The article itself does not confirm that the design was censored. The embedded YouTube video may confirm this, but unfortunately it is privated. Question?
  • Changed "censored" to "altered"; this is relying on the visibility in the screenshots. Articles discussing it as actually censored sadly were only from unreliable Chinese selfpub sources.

Appearances

[edit]
  • Ref 11: The source appears to validate what is written in the article. checkY
  • Ref 16: Not familiar with the site, but if this is WP:SELFPUB then the information in the article is verifiable here. checkY
  • It is yeah, Tengai and onward designer's own website.

Promotion and reception

[edit]
  • Ref 22: This confirms that the clothing can be removed. checkY
  • Ref 25: Looks correct to me. The source isn't the best though, a non-blog source would be better for this. checkY
  • Ref 30: Article text says the source cites Koyori as an example of unique characters. The source from One Million Power doesn't say this verbatim, if a specific quote can be pointed to here, this is probably fine. Question?
  • ZUN's statement is in relation to the statement before it regarding the importance of unique characters for 90's shooters, stating it was absolutely true and then namedropping Koyori in that regard.
  • Ref 37: Ayin isn't mentioned by name in the source, but the quotes in the article match. I am more concerned with the reliability of Tencent personally, however this is probably fine. checkY
  • If it helps, it is editorialized, but also avoids discussing Tencent properties. Chinese wikipedia's side recognizes it as situational in this regard.

The article is well sourced, though it be would be good to get confirmation of the things I wasn't able to verify. 11WB (talk) 19:37, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 21:03, 23 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

The article follows a familiar layout, development, appearances and reception. The image also has a reasonable length explanation. Much of the article focuses on the design of the character, particularly the bosom. I believe this is the point of the character however, so I don't feel this is WP:UNDUE. I have no issues here, and as such, no recommendations to make. 11WB (talk) 19:43, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 19:43, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

I didn't encounter any instances of personal opinions being given, and all quotes were attributed to the source. There is a lot of coverage on the bosom of the character, however as said above, I don't think this is WP:UNDUE. No issues here and no recommendations to make. 11WB (talk) 19:45, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 19:45, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 19:47, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

There are two images which show what the character looks like and how the design evolved during development. My only concern is with the placement of the latter image, MOS:IMAGELOC prefers images to be placed on the right-hand side of the article. 11WB (talk) 19:49, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

  • Game and character articles tend to "zigzag" artwork to help the reader read through the article. While I understand IMAGELOC's suggestion, it'd actively fight the infobox and doesn't break the article's formatting which was a concern of left aligning such images.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 01:26, 23 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

This criterion is passed. 11WB (talk) 13:59, 23 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
