Camera name

Later renamed to Konvas-Avtomat (Automatic) for electric-driven models. This is not correct. All of compact cameras were electric driven and called Konvas-automat because fast loading cassette mechanism. Konvas-1 and Konvas-zvuk were early Konstantinov cameras (1938-40), based on De Brie mechanism. But that Konvases don't have nothing common with Konvas-automat. Avtomat is designated for a design change to remove the manual drive. So that's absolutely correct! Konstantin Vasiliyevich was the head of the design group at MKBK. The intermittent design is unique with its claw retardation add-on seen in the Arriflex 35 cameras. 'Konvas-Avtomat' was a common name for a number of cameras: 1KSR (at the picture in article); 1KSR-1M; 1KSR-2M. 1KSR was the very first of 'Avtomats' with three different drives in the set: spring drive, hand crank (at the picture) and electric drive. Later, in 1970 1KSR production was deleted and it was changed by new camera 1KSR-1M with different drive attachment for a single type electric 15 EPSS (15 ЭПСС). One more new version was 1KSR-2M with a single lens hole instead of rotating turret. The lens mount was a version of Mitchell BNC, which called in USSR 'ОСТ-19' (OST-19). Both new cameras were equipped with rotateable viewfinder. Later 15 EPSS drive was changed for 17EP-16APK with cristal sync. Konvas-1 and Konvas-Zvuk were ABSOLUTELY different cameras, nothing common with Konvas-Avtomat. Runner1616 (talk) 17:13, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
