The only source so far found for this article is Encyclopedia Mythica (www.pantheon.org) ([]) - unfortunately unreliable on Polynesian and Oceanic mythology. Another problem is that the article does not identify the culture of origin. Kahuroa22:14, 13 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Other pages describe "Tuna" as being the Polynesian god of eels. It makes more sense to me that Kohara would be a goddess for eels given their preexisting cultural importance. Also, if we're talking about electric eels, then her name referring to lightning makes more sense. Micrathena (talk) 21:43, 15 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
