Last pharmacy

Any reason why not? Kmart had a significant pharmacy presense at 1 point so it seems relevant that the last location closed. Since you didn't edit it, maybe someone with editing privileges will. Seems the article is protected so I can't do it. ~2026-34171-05 (talk) 20:52, 10 June 2026 (UTC)

I agree with user:Nihilist2345. I don't see any need to mention this in the article either. And for that matter, the claim that this was the last Kmart pharmacy is incorrect. Check this source. It specifically mentions that this is the "last" kmart pharmacy that closed.

Specifially: "On it was a letter signed by Dr. Aya Assebian and “The Grateful Staff of the Last Kmart Pharmacy Standing.”

If y'all don't want to add it so be it, but to write that all 3 remaining Kmarts have pharmacies, is incorrect. There is no source that states that. I know what your source says. I read it when you added it to the article. Again,According to the sources in our article all three of the remaining stores have pharmacies. As of yesterday, our article's sources (the store finder) showed that there were still three open stores that had pharmacies. So, we have conflicting sources. Store finder, LOL. That store finder at kmart's site, has not been accurate since the last Obama administration, lol. At least since 2015. Keep thinking there are 3 pharmacies, I couldn't care less. But as per the source, there are now zero. ~2026-34518-53 (talk) 13:22, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 8 December 2025

In the last paragraph of the 2019–present: New management and further store closings section, change the sentence "Two years before, the retailer had closed another St-Croix store in Frederiksted, in a shopping mall that had Kmart as a tenant since its debut on June 30, 1993" so that it read instead "Two years before, the retailer had closed another St-Croix store in Frederiksted, in a shopping mall that had Kmart as a tenant since 1993".

A printed article from the Miami Herald on July 10, 1993 indicates that the Frederiksted store in the Virgin Islands was slated to open in September 1993. So by removing the exact date in the sentence and just sticking to the year, this allows to give an information that is accurate while still remaining faithful to the Virgin Islands Consortium source on the Wikipedia article. Note that the "June 30" mention in the Virgin Islands Consortium source does not come from the journalist but from the owner of shopping mall. ~2025-28056-21 (talk) 07:57, 8 December 2025 (UTC)

But this is besides the point. The edit request is not about adding the Miami Herald source to the article or replacing June 30 for September. The request is simply about removing a very small part of the sentence while keeping the rest of the phrase and the current source intact. I will currently decline given that it is a single location and that it is covered under the Operations in Puerto Rico sub-section with the text: In 2011, the Kmart chain opened a new smaller store concept at 8,000 square-feet named "Kmart Express" at the Plaza Carolina shopping mall in Carolina, this was short lived.
