Last pharmacy
[edit]Last Kmart pharmacy closed as per this link. Im unable to edit so can someone with an account, make this edit? https://newsfeed.wtjx.org/2025-09-18/kmart-pharmacy-in-tutu-park-mall-on-st-thomas-closes-customers-and-staff-transition-to-walgreens 174.213.162.28 (talk) 21:07, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- I honestly don't see a reason as to include this in the main article, so I won't edit. Sorry, Nihilist2345 (talk) 16:11, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- Any reason why not? Kmart had a significant pharmacy presense at 1 point so it seems relevant that the last location closed. Since you didn't edit it, maybe someone with editing privileges will. Seems the article is protected so I can't do it. ~2026-34171-05 (talk) 20:52, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
- I agree with user:Nihilist2345. I don't see any need to mention this in the article either. And for that matter, the claim that this was the last Kmart pharmacy is incorrect. According to the sources in our article all three of the remaining stores have pharmacies. Meters (talk) 22:01, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
- Check this source. It specifically mentions that this is the "last" kmart pharmacy that closed.
- Specifially: "On it was a letter signed by Dr. Aya Assebian and “The Grateful Staff of the Last Kmart Pharmacy Standing.”
- If y'all don't want to add it so be it, but to write that all 3 remaining Kmarts have pharmacies, is incorrect. There is no source that states that. This is the source regarding the final 1 closing: https://newsfeed.wtjx.org/2025-09-18/kmart-pharmacy-in-tutu-park-mall-on-st-thomas-closes-customers-and-staff-transition-to-walgreens ~2026-34171-05 (talk) 00:33, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
- That seems to be a valid RS, stating the last location closed. Whether or not it's noteworthy (I find that it is), another story ~2026-34518-53 (talk) 11:38, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
- Also from that source: “This is not the story of a sinking ship but of Turning Tides; which will be the beginning of a new chapter. As the Last Kmart Pharmacy closes its doors, our commitment to you continues.”Italic text ~2026-34171-05 (talk) 00:34, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
- Lastly, I realize Reddit isn't a valid source, but to be clear, there are no pharmacies from Kmart remaining as of 2025: https://www.reddit.com/r/kmart/comments/1nlmdcs/rip_kmart_pharmacy_19622025/ ~2026-34171-05 (talk) 00:36, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
- I know what your source says. I read it when you added it to the article. Again,
According to the sources in our article all three of the remaining stores have pharmacies.
As of yesterday, our article's sources (the store finder) showed that there were still three open stores that had pharmacies. So, we have conflicting sources. For that matter, as I've already said, and as user:Nihilist2345 has said, there's no need to mention the last Kmart pharmacy in the article. Please drop this. Meters (talk) 19:45, 12 June 2026 (UTC)- I don't have to drop anything. Free country, I can write my opinion on the article, as you can. Do not Tell me what to do. Who are you?
- Store finder, LOL. That store finder at kmart's site, has not been accurate since the last Obama administration, lol. At least since 2015. Keep thinking there are 3 pharmacies, I couldn't care less. But as per the source, there are now zero. ~2026-34518-53 (talk) 13:22, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 8 December 2025
[edit]This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
In the last paragraph of the 2019–present: New management and further store closings section, change the sentence "Two years before, the retailer had closed another St-Croix store in Frederiksted, in a shopping mall that had Kmart as a tenant since its debut on June 30, 1993" so that it read instead "Two years before, the retailer had closed another St-Croix store in Frederiksted, in a shopping mall that had Kmart as a tenant since 1993".
A printed article from the Miami Herald on July 10, 1993 indicates that the Frederiksted store in the Virgin Islands was slated to open in September 1993. So by removing the exact date in the sentence and just sticking to the year, this allows to give an information that is accurate while still remaining faithful to the Virgin Islands Consortium source on the Wikipedia article. Note that the "June 30" mention in the Virgin Islands Consortium source does not come from the journalist but from the owner of shopping mall. ~2025-28056-21 (talk) 07:57, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- Could you provide the article you’re referring to that says they opened in September? Slomo666 (talk) 11:23, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- But this is besides the point. The edit request is not about adding the Miami Herald source to the article or replacing June 30 for September. The request is simply about removing a very small part of the sentence while keeping the rest of the phrase and the current source intact. Even if the June 30 date would have been correct, it is irrelevant to the rest of the paragraph anyway. The 1993 year can stay however. ~2025-28056-21 (talk) 13:31, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
Done No problem. I just need RS as edit requests must be necessary, and I think (after reading the provided source) your request meets that bar. Happy editing, Slomo666 (talk) 13:55, 8 December 2025 (UTC)

Kmart Express
[edit]there are actually two seperate inititives named Kmart Express under Subsidaries, the second mall Kmart Express should also be included. ~2026-19724-5 (talk) 09:17, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- The mall Kmart was just a single Kmart at Plaza Carolina, correct? --Super Goku V (talk) 10:15, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Absolutely. Please add it. ~2026-26194-0 (talk) 03:25, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- I will currently decline given that it is a single location and that it is covered under the Operations in Puerto Rico sub-section with the text:
In 2011, the Kmart chain opened a new smaller store concept at 8,000 square-feet named "Kmart Express" at the Plaza Carolina shopping mall in Carolina, this was short lived.
Though, if someone else does believe that it should be done, then I am fine with that. --Super Goku V (talk) 06:42, 13 January 2026 (UTC)- I saw that, but I’d prefer it to be centralized with the subsidiaries as Kmart Dental and KWash were included, it should be added as a little ender to the Kmart Express Gas chain or seperate ~2026-26194-0 (talk) 03:43, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
