I would recommend looking at Nagy's Best of the Achaeans, since that book has perhaps one of the best discussions on this term, as with most heroic terms of the Iliad. In fact,without that seminal study on the Greek Homeric hero, this page will inevitably feel weak.
Glory
[edit]I am quite surprised that the English Wikipedia has no article devoted to glory. As with many other subjects concerning human behavior, Kleos started in Greece but did not end with the Greek culture, passing to Rome and then to Europe and the Middle East. I would say that it is a subject even of present day relevance to understand human behavior. I have just enlarged the content, with a new section on Plato.
I am considering to start an article on glory. As a starting point I would take much of the present Kleos article, but lets hope that in future will grow in a new direction. I am explaining this in order that the editors of the present article are informed.--Auró (talk) 16:09, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
